We are looking for a Project Buyer for our Madrid facility

Your Role
Working in the Rail Control Solutions Division and reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Project buyer manages procurement for all the different parts of the business processes, according to established procedures and by using appropriate tools and techniques. This includes being in charge of material controls in projects, from planning and order management, to submission of inquires and negotiations with the suppliers.

Your Challenges

- Assists inthe development of the functional deliverables, from the bid stage to the delivery one
- Make recommendations and plans, set objectives, define scheduling and priorities
- Monitor and report costs vs. targets, progress and quality of work as well as on time deliveries
- Participate in short-term planning and order management
- Continually seek and suggest improved methods of working and cost reduction
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain preferential terms, ensure on time delivery of items at the necessary quality.
- Have an awareness of inventory levels and seek to reduce these by schedulingmaterial for just in time delivery

Your Experience and Qualifications

- Master of Science degree in engineering.
- At least 3 years of purchasing experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Exposure to cost reduction programmes
- Ability to work in multi cultural environment
- Flexible and able to work accurately to deadlines
- Availability and willingness to travel occasionally
- Proven negotiation skills
- Excellent English communication skills
