Our client is a leading company in the sector of renewable energy that is seeking for the Purchasing Department 3 Global Key Commodities Buyers for the following areas: Mechanical & Electrical area, Logistics & Transport and Composites & Blades area.

Responsibilities:
Manage all sourcing activities related to the procurement of electrical commodities for the company, as specified below. Coordinate similar activities for the composites buyer/ Key Commodity Buyer for logistics and transport contracts (global, regional and local) regarding inbound (components) and outbound materials(finished product to site)/ Electrical & Mechanical buyer

• Analyze data to develop the appropriate sourcing and negotiating strategies that will maximize the savings opportunities.
• Develops sourcing and negotiation strategies consistent with business requirements and market trends.
•Identifies business requirements and develops market/industry assessments to prioritize opportunities and quantify potential benefits that will result from sourcing and negotiations of indirect spend categories.
• Analyzes results from market research, potential demand aggregation, and alternate buying strategies in the area of assigned logistics and transportation services to exercise maximum influence upon suppliers and to implement the appropriate leverage to the negotiation opportunities where current price reduction or cost avoidance is achievable.
• Negotiates with new and existing supply base in the area of assigned logistics and transportation/ electrical & mechanical area / composites & blades area services by applying the appropriate strategies and available procurement tools for local, global and corporate demand requirements.
• Implement agreements and manage supplier relationships in accordance with formal performance metrics. Work in conjunction with the appropriate purchasing areas
• Serve in a consulting role for the development of global strategies and plans for supplier consolidation with functional goals and objectives. Through cross-functional involvement, lead the process for selecting preferred suppliers on a global basis
• Develop and manage a process to select logistics preferred suppliers, prioritize supplier consolidation requirements on a global basis and share best practices.
• Maintain the supplier relationship and performance history to support future sourcing and negotiating efforts
